On the Island, two kinds of homes keep us busy. Year-round homes, from Charlottetown's heritage houses to new builds in Stratford and Cornwall, farmhouses in Kings and Prince counties and family homes in Summerside. And seasonal homes: the cottages, inns and rentals along the north shore and around the coast that fill up every summer.
Year-round homes want warmth against the wind off the Strait. Seasonal homes want blackout for guests and products that survive a damp, closed-up winter.
We are an Atlantic Canadian maker, not a mainland franchise. Your blinds are measured in your home, made in our Halifax workshop and brought over by our team to be installed.
What we hear most from Islanders
- "It is windy here." Cellular shades on windward walls.
- "Guests say the room is too bright." On June 21 the sun rises around 5:20 a.m. across PEI. Blackout for every rental bedroom.
- "The cottage is closed from October to May." Moisture-resistant fabrics and faux wood.
- "We cannot have the place torn up in July." Spring and fall installs for cottages and rentals.
How it works on the Island
